Sony has opened up registration for the next PlayStation 4 system software beta program starting early February. PS4 System Software Beta Starts Early February

PS4 system software beta1

As with previous  major system software update for PS4, gamers on the platform will get to test and provide valuable feedback on new features planned for the console. This means registering for the programme gives you early access to the improvements Sony is planning for PS4 before anyone else. Its also an important job, and one that helps Sony bring the best out of the machine.

In the last beta, testers got to experience major features such as the revised Quick Menu, Folders, and others before they were launched officially.

If you would like to be in with a chance to become one of the select testers you can register on this page. You’ll need your Sony Entertainment Network online ID and be over 18 to sign up. Successful beta tester will be notified via official invitation emails so keep an eye on your inbox once you have registered.

If you are lucky enough to be part of the programme you’ll also get instructions on how to download the Beta in the confirmation email.

If you do not hear from Sony in the time between registering your intent and the beta program opening in February then that means your application has been unsuccessful this time round. Still, there will be many more opportunities in the future and we’ll still get to see the new features once the beta is complete.
