Sony has announced yet another Limited edition Dualshock controller for its PS4 console. The new PlayStation F.C. Dualshock 4 wireless controller is set for release in September. The upcoming controller comes hot on the heels of the recently announced Limited edition Destiny 2 Dualshock 4 and PS4 bundles. Unfortunately for PS4 gamers in the UK, both controllers will not be available in the country.

Sony’s PlayStation F.C. Dualshock 4 wireless controller is due for release on 29 September. The launch of the new model is set to coincide with start of the football season on PS4. Its design features penalty lines embossed on the Dualshock 4 touch pad in addition to the official PlayStation F.C. crest on one side. The other side of the controller shows PlayStation icons in a tactics pattern as seen below:

However as mentioned above the PlayStation F.C. Dualshock 4 will not be made available in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The same applies to the recently announced Limited Edition Destiny Dualshock 4 wireless controller too. Perhaps that’s what Sony means when it says Limited Edition. But there is no doubt that the company is ignoring a large part of its PS4 customer base in doing so.

Whether the exclusive controllers will eventually be released in this region remains to be seen, but many PS4 fans will be disappointed.

At the moment Sony directs people to simply “check with retailers for further information regarding availability.” Those who really want one of these controllers, particularly the Destiny 2 one, will have to do exactly that.
