Its safe to say the PlayStation 4 console is enjoying a stellar start to 2018 so far. There’s already been a bumper selection of awesome new titles released on the platform this year. And it seems like the pace of new game releases is not letting up. PS4 owners will need to save up their pennies as 7 more titles have had their PlayStation 4 release dates confirmed recently.

New Upcoming PS4 Games 2018 Release Dates

Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 Trailer

From team based steampunk shooters to Superhero titles and Sandbox RPG’s here’s a rundown of the seven recently announced upcoming PS4 games in 2018.

Guns of Icarus Alliance

First up in the list of the most recently announced PlayStation 4 games is Mouse Games’ team based steampunk title Guns of Icarus Alliance. The fast paced airship shooter action game is now confirmed for a 1 May release on PS4. Featuring steampunk airship combat that includes PvP airborne battles, Guns of Icarus sets the standard in the genre.

In Guns of Icarus Alliance, up to 32 players can take part in the game’s PvP airship battles. Players can take on the roles of gunners, engineers, or pilots as they work as part of a crew. As a result, crew members are responsible for everything from ship repairs to taking out enemy ships. Ultimately, the team that communicates and coordinates the best will be the one to  dominate the skies.


The Spectrum Retreat

Coming from one-man-band UK indie developer Dan Smith is a BAFTA winning puzzle game The Spectrum Retreat. This is Smith’s first video game and the Newcastle-based developer has already won many plaudits for his work. A narrative-driven first -person puzzle game, The Spectrum Retreat is coming to PS4 this summer.

In the game players find themselves in the unsettling world of Penrose Hotel, with no memory of who they are or their past. The puzzler, published by Ripstone, promises to be a captivating title for all those on PS4 who love the genre.


Russian Subway Dogs

Next up in the list of recently confirmed PS4 release dates is Russian Subway Dogs, an arcade-style title from Spooky Squid Games. Inspired by the real-life stray dogs that live on Russia’s subway system, the game applies their instinct for survival in its gameplay to challenge players. You’ll play as one of the stray dogs trying to find food and outdo angry humans and rival dogs.

Marvel’s Spider-Man


Good news for Spider man fans as  Marvel’s Spider-Man gets a PS4 release date.The famous web-slinger will finally make his long awaited PS4 arrival on 7 September 2018. The game is a PS4 Exclusive title developed by Insomniac games. Marvel’s Spider-Man will be available as both a retail and digital purchase.

Divinity: Original Sin 2


As if that wasn’t enough, there’s still more big games slated for release on PlayStation 4 this year. Consequently Larian Games has confirmed that it is working Divinity: Original Sin 2 for PS4. The acclaimed sandbox RPG will feature a fantasy realm game world in which players are encouraged to unleash their creativity.

Larian Games has promised that the RPG will arrive on PS4 with several player-requested tweaks to its popular PC version. The game has been a smash hit on PC already and so Original Sin 2 will be hugely anticipated on PS4. Check out the Divinity: Original Sin 2 announce trailer above for more.


Spyro Reignited Trilogy/ Slime-san: Superslime Edition

He’s Back! Spyro the Dragon will roar his way onto PS4 consoles everywhere later this year. Developer Toys for Bob has confirmed that Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be released on PS4 this September.

Also announced for release on PS4 is Slime-san: Superslime Edition. In addition to a collection of the franchise’s three main campaigns there will also be new content featured. The extra content includes 10 new levels where you can play as Grandpa-san as well as a new dynamic colour mode. Consequently, Slime-san will surely slither onto many PS4’s later this year.
