Wolfenstein The Old Blood

Bethsida Softworks, makers of one of 2014’s biggest games on PlayStation 4, Wolfenstein: The New Order, have announced a new standalone prequel entitled Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. The new game will arrive on PS4 on May 5 as a digital download and will cost around £14.99 / €19.99.

The Old Blood takes players back to 1946 through two intertwined stories that see main protagonist BJ Blazkowicz unravel the events that influenced the story in The New Order. Our hero’s adventure will be told over 8 chapters in  Part 1 – Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, and part 2 -The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs.

In part 1, Blazkowicz is on a quest to find the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. Unfortunately, he will have to gain access to Castle Wolfenstein and get past a mad prison warden in order to do so. Part 2 depends on success in part 1, the coordinates will lead our hero o the city of Wulfburg. There, BJ Blazkowicz will come face to face with a maniacal Nazi archaeologist whose aim is to raise a dark and ancient power through the ancient artifects he is bent on exhuming.

Bethseda also promises more updates before the game’s release as well as livestreams on Twitch.TV after launch. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood’s announcement also came with an announcement trailer which you can see here:
