Sony has announced a range of new Crystal Dualshock 4 Wireless Controllers. Three new crystal special edition controllers will be joining the Dualshock 4 family later this year. The new gamepads come in clear Crystal, Red Crystal, and Blue Crystal colours. PlayStation 4’s newest Dualshock 4 wireless controller range is due for release on 17 October.

New Crystal Dualshock 4 Wireless Controllers

Many PS4 owners will know that this is not the first time that the crystal controller has made it to the console. Sony says that 2016 Crystal Dualshock 4 controller was one of the most popular. The clear crystal controller makes a comeback as an upgraded version alongside the blue and red crystal ones. All three crystal Dualshock 4 will obviously offer wireless control as well as direct USB.

If transparent controllers are your thing then the new crystal Dualshock 4 controllers will make a great-looking addition to your gaming set-up. The game pads do look amazing and will surely become one of the PS4’s most popular accessories. Sony released a number of images to give PS4 owners a first look at the new devices, you can check them out below:

Most notable however is that the Crystal Dualshock 4 wireless controller range has a redesigned touchpad. The new design now features the light bar on the top of the controller. This gives players a clear indication of crucial in-game info such as your character’s health with a quick glance.

As we have noted before, there have been a number of controllers announced that will not be available in the UK. With the new crystal Dualshock 4 wireless controllers, the whole range will not be available in Russia.

Inevitably, and rather unfortunately again, the red and blue crystal controllers will not be available in the UK! The two bright colours also happen to be the best looking of the bunch too.

The reasons behind the restrictions are not clear, and we have sent a message to Sony for clarification.

The Crystal Dualshock 4 wireless controller range is out on 17 October 2017.
