Xcomm 2E3 is nearly upon us and already there has been a flurry of new PS4 games trailers this past week and the PS4 community is looking forward to all the big news to come out next week.  Check out our roundup below:

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

Announced as coming to PS4 in 2017, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is The classic PS2 JRPG making a return on current-gen machines with a whole host of features.The new high-definition remaster will come with a range of improvements, including a reconstructed battle design and a revamped job system.

 

Yooka-Laylee

Playtonic, featuring some of the key developers behind Banjo Kazooie, recently released the debut trailer for their upcoming open-world platformer Yooka-Laylee. Players can expect a massive, beautiful world full of quirky characters to explore, as well as quite a few word puns.

The protagonists in the game are Yooka (the green one) and Laylee, who is the wisecracking bat with the big red nose. The two will have to negotiate a range of platforming challenges and puzzles as they search for the golden treasure required to unlock and expand new worlds called Pagies. Horizon Zero Dawn

Guerilla Games is currently working on Horizon Zero Dawn and recently revealed a new trailer detailing aspects of the game’ lead Character Aloy. The game has a new release date because the developer needed more time to perfect Zero Dawn so the epic will now be released on the 1st of March 2017. Fifa 17

EA’s annual football franchise is set for release in September and will be powered by the leading game engine frostbite. The new installment in the long-running franchise will also introduce four new ambassadors in James Rodriguez of Real Madrid C.F., Anthony Martial of Manchester United, Eden Hazard of Chelsea FC, and Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund who are all featured on the new cover design.

 

World of Final Fantasy

Good news for Final Fantasy fans both old and new, Square Enix will be releasing the World of Final Fantasy on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita this October. The unique story features new Active Time Battle system, many of the games familiar and iconic characters, and an epic adventure. Check out the World of Final Fantasy story trailer below:

 

XCOM 2

Firaxis Games has revealed the sequel to their acclaimed strategy epic XCOM will be making its way to PS4 on September 9. XCOM 2 is the follow-up to 2012’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown and is set to be another Behemoth title. Check out the announcement trailer below:

 

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

The new Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue trailer showcases Aqua, one of the original Keyblade wielders, and her battle against the Heartless. Square Enix Promises to reveal further details at this years’ E3. For now we can whet our appetites with a new gameplay trailer:

 

Injustice 2

NetherRealm unveiled the sequel to its 2013 fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Injustice 2 will feature new characters and environments, as well as taking environment interaction and destruction to the next level. The game launches on PlayStation 4 in 2017 and we’ll keep you updated with any new details as they become available. Here is the Injustice 2 announce trailer:

 

Kayaker Pedro Oliva takes on a 82-foot waterfall
