Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan

Bethesda Softworks has released the details of its upcoming Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan, with the first Expansion due to arrive on PlayStation 4 in March. The first content add-ons are three new expansions, Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor, the last of which is released in May of 2016.

Bethesda has promised even further add-ons beyond the Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan’s May release of Far Harbor, including more new features and adventures for the popular action role-playing game. As a result of of the Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan coming into effect, the game’s season Pass will see a price increase from £24.99/€29.99/ to £39.99/€49.99.

Players who buy the Fallout 4 season pass before 1 March will be able to purchase them at the current price, and existing holders will not be charged more.

Automatron

Out in March 2016 and priced at £7.99/€9.99

Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan - AutomatronFirst up in the Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan will be Automatron. In Automatron players will have to hunt down the army of evil robots built by the Mechanist and break them down to build their own custom robot allies. A broad range of customisation options include; hundreds of mods, armour abilities, mixing limbs, paint scheme customisation, and an updated roster of weapons.

Wasteland Workshop

Out in April 2016 and priced at 3.99/€4.99

After the March release of Automatron the next add-on content in the Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan will be Wasteland Workshop. The Wasteland Workshop expansion will come with a host of new design and customisation options for player’s settlements, one of which is taxidermy!

With Wasteland Workshop, players have to create and set up cages that will be used to capture live creatures. Capture animals range from Rangers to Deathclaws that can be tamed and put to battle or used as security against other settler.

Far Harbor

Out in May 2016 and priced at £19.99/€24.99

Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan - Far HarborFar Harbor arrives as part of the trio of Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan content in May and will feature a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency. The new case leads players on a search for a young woman onto the trail of a colony of synths when they the coast of Maine to the unknown island of Far Harbor.

Higher levels of radiation on Far Harbor have produced a more feral environment which players have to navigate in addition to the chaos caused by the local population’s in-fighting.

Perhaps reflected in the price, far harbor will be the biggest content add-on that Bethesda has ever made and will feature new creatures, quests, dungeons, settlements, and more. Other significant features include more powerful weapons and armour choices that will have the benefit of giving your character increased strength and abilities.

As mentioned above, Bethesda has promised even more content beyond what the  Expanded Fallout 4 DLC Plan and the veteran video games developer has also promised to bring exclusive PS4 closed Betas for those who want to try out the upcoming add-on’s early.

Players wishing to take part in the exclusive closed Betas for PlayStation 4 can sign up on Bethesda’s website, but will need to register first. The developers are already hard at work testing out the Creation Kit that will allow players on PS4 to have user-created mods, and a complete overhaul of Survival Mode that will transform the way players experience the whole game.
