Rocket League

Gaming studio Psyonix has opened up its upcoming PS4 title Rocket League for closed beta sign ups. The fast-paced sports action game will be available on PlayStation 4 this summer and the company is offering a limited number of Beta vouchers for multiplayer users spread across North America and Europe, on a first-come first-served basis.

Psyonix announced that it has finally worked out all the features that it plans to ship with the final edition of the game. Now begins the testing phase for Rocket League. The company will now work towards properly testing the game, and then working out any kinks if discovered. This will ensure that Rocket League gets the right amount of polish it needs before it goes on sale later this year.

The company intends to launch the game by summer 2015. The development of the game has reached the final stages. Psyonix is aiming towards making Rocket League a fun filled, entertaining, and high quality title that will make players spend a lot of time on it.

When players start playing the closed beta, they’ll be able to provide the additional feedback that the company needs to improve the game. The more feedback the company receives, the better it can fix obvious bugs, and therefore the better the game turns out in the end.

Beta access has been rolled out to select members of the Rocket League and Battle-Cars community earlier this week. The company will now expand it to cover a lot more users. PlayStation 4 users who are interested in signing up for the closed beta must register themselves at the Rocket League website using a valid e-mail address and a PlayStationNetwork ID.

Since beta keys are limited, all those who register will not receive a key. Those who do not receive a key to the closed beta should expect one soon as the company plans to further expand its closed beta openings. That means a lot more players might be added in the near future.

Rocket League closed beta servers will run from 4PM to 4AM every day. The game’s biggest features will be disabled since the closed beta is only built for testing player matchmaking and server functionality. Only one stadium will be available to players, and the keys will be limited to players in Europe initially. The closed beta ends in the first week of May this year.
