INDIE Video games developer Secret Sorcery has released a free to play demo of its PS VR strategy game, Tethered. In what is one of the first announcements of its kind on PS VR, the critically acclaimed PS VR strategy game will be one of the first titles to have a demo on PlayStation VR. Tethered is Secret Sorcery’s debut title and has been well received by gamers and critics alike, leading to calls for the sample content.

To say Secret Sorcery has created a classic game at the first time of trying is an understatement. The British-based independent video game developer has received glowing reviews of its strategy title, making it one of the most popular games on PS VR. The company was established in 2015 by a group of highly experienced developers resulting in the release of Tethered in October 2016.

Tethered ties Gamers Closer

Since then a large fan following has grown around Tethered and now the developer is giving other gamers a chance to get a taste of the action too. Tethered is described by Secret Sorcery as a simple, unique and completely immersive strategy game that can tie players physically and emotionally to its beautiful world.

The game was designed exclusively for PS VR and is set in a Heavenly Archipelago where you, as a Spirit Guardian, seek for the Spirit Energy to keep the plague of nocturnal creatures at bay.

The Tethered PS VR demo is now available on the PlayStation Store in Europe and will be an enhanced version of the developers well received EGX show build.

This is as much a response to fan demands for a taster before they decide what games to buy at christmas as it is a great marketing move. Gamers will now get a chance to test the highly acclaimed virtual reality strategy title free of charge. The demo will also join a growing list of PS VR content, both paid and free to play, which is great for owners of the VR rig.

Accompanying the playable Tethered Demo will be a “Tethered Divine Edition” bundle which is also now available should the demo convince you to buy the full game. Either way there is no harm in trying out the free Tethered demo if you haven’t already played the game.
