Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Desecrates PlayStation 4 on April 25, 2018

Developer Dark Star Studios has confirmed the upcoming release of Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption on PS4. The team comprises several veterans, -including a former Ubisoft art director, with AAA games experience. In addition, Dark Star also boasts a technical artist from Blizzard, and a former Konami senior programmer. So the studio has a strong background, making Sinner a highly anticipated PS4 game for 2018.

In the action battler game, players will lead a soldier with a murky past. Adam is on a quest to redeem himself for his dark past. Consequently, Adam will have to face each of the seven deadly sins. Personified by monstrous beings that are intent on destroying you, the battles ahead will not be easy ones.

Firstly, Adam has to sacrifice a part of himself before each battle. This will represent a permanent debuff that will lower his health through the rest of his encounters. And as you lose your strength, each battle will be more difficult than the last. In addition, the debuff can also deplete your resources and weaken your armor and weapons.

Thankfully though, you’ll have access to various unlockable equipment. This arsenal will help you compensate for Adam’s increasing weaknesses.

Iain Garner, Director of Developer Relations at Another Indie had this to say about Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption:

Sinner will test players’ skill in battle, giving them plenty of options to find a play-style that works for them even as Adam grows weaker,” . . .

“The feeling of defeating each boss and receiving more of the deep narrative is both rewarding and riveting.”

As Adam defeats each boss, a part of his history will be revealed. Will he do enough to atone for his dark past?
