UK based games developer Tikipod Ltd has revealed that their underwater shoot ‘em up, Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender DX will be come to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as a cross buy title at the end of November 2014. The cat based – action packed title is making the step up to the two PlayStation consoles after award winning success on it’s original PlayStation mobile platform and has been overhauled for release on PS4 and PS Vita.

With a story based on the premise that there is a sudden shortage of milk worldwide and cats everywhere have to find new sources from which to get the white stuff, including under the seabed. Players and their team of felines have to brave the seas in order to reach a new source of milk under the ocean and extract it for their survival. The only hope of survival is through managing your submarines’ limited energy reserves while battling various sea creatures to keep your team and milk mining operations safe.

Your submarine will get upgraded as you move up the stages and there are pick-ups dropped by special fish you have to collect that will give you additional energy as well as plenty of new features that have been added in the move to PS 4 and PS Vita. The game now also has an optional easy mode option and extra directional fire to help you protect your litter of miners and take down enemy robo jellyfish.

Other upgrades include glows, extra particles and multi layered parallax skies as well as  distortion effects, and with the game running at 60hz on both PS4 and PS Vita, ( PS4 version is at a full HD 1080p). With the game coming to the PlayStation Store as a multi buy title, together with a choice of playing two player local co-op, Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender DX is set to continue its success on the next gen PS4 console and Vita handheld too.
