Activision Blizzard has released the first details about the upcoming Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC in news that the games’ fans on PlayStation 4 will be pleased to hear. The new DLC will be released on PS4 first on the I9th of April and will feature the next installment of the Black Ops 3 Zombies story, as well as four brand-new multiplayer maps.

Call of Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC

Activision’s new Zombie saga is entitled Zetsubou No Shima and will see players battle the undead in the Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC. In the new story, Treyarch’s Origins characters find themselves based on an island in the Pacific during the World War II period; a continuation of their fight against the onset of a Zombie Apocalypse.

Given the period in which they find themselves, most players will already know that the island setting is far from a retreat in the tropics, and there will be more to face than just zombies. Experiments gone wrong with Element 15 mean that your characters will have to fight the horrifyingly-affected animals, plants and people in addition to the relentless zombie horde.

Zetsubou No Shima will also feature a whole host of additional content and improved game mechanics. The new saga will include classic Zombie side quests in addition to new transport mechanics and dangerous traps.

Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC Maps:

The four new Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC maps will feature new areas, -taking players to environments they haven’t experienced before, and are sure to have something to suit all types of play-styles. Check out more details about the 4 new maps in the upcoming Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC below:

Call of Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC MapsKnockout Map: The knockout map is suitably set in a Shaolin Temple, a mid-sized map that will have players taking part in a brutal Kung-Fu tournament. With a touch of a retro 1970’s feel to it, Knockout will give players a contrast between close-quarter fighting and the freedom provided by the traditional outdoor environment.

Spire: Spire is the Black Ops 3 Eclipse DLC map that brings multiplayer combat to the fore; this time teams will face intense combat situations on a futuristic airport terminal that is located in the clouds. The high-tech civilian setting is a treacherous environment that will demand the utmost concentration from players.

Verge: The Verge map features multiplayer combat right in the middle of a post-apocalyptic time in the future. Two rival factions engage in continual battles for control of key landmarks such as bridges, fortresses, and tunnel systems in a fast-paced action re-imagination of the classic Banzai map from the acclaimed Call of Duty: World at War.

Rift: The Rift map will take players to a futuristic military barracks that just also happens to be located above an active volcanic crater. In the restricted and fast paced engagements, players will find that the only way out is to go forward as they are forced to outmanoeuvre their opponents in these intense battles.

Activision has promised more details to come as the launch date approaches, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted so keep checking back on PS4Mag for more.
