Square Enix has released a brand new ps4 Demo simply titled Platinum Demo that features an original story in new, stand-alone content. Completely removed from the main Final Fantasy XV game, the Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo sees players take on the role of Noctis accompanied by his magical guide as they explore a unique and fantastical world full of twists and turns in its story.
The Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo is now available on the PlayStation store and joins a growing list of PS4 Demos and free to play games. All the gameplay and content from the Platinum Demo will not be appearing on the full Final Fantasy XV game. Final Fantasy XV is set for release on PlayStation 4 and other platforms on September 30 this year.
The Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo does feature the full game’s main protagonist, albeit a younger version of Noctis and sees the young man collecting crystals as he runs through three small screens. The Platinum demo also features a classic Final Fantasy beast, the adorable Carbuncle, whom Noctis gives chase to in the free-to-play standalone game.

For Final Fantasy fans and newbies alike, Platinum Demo gives players a glimpse into what to expect when the full game hits store shelves later on in the year. Platinum is the first title in the franchise that features action-based rather than turn-based battles, and they are impressive.
Also sure to make an impression is the ability to change the time of day between light and dark, as well as the weather; – turning the rain on or off for example. The Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo does come to an end pretty quickly, but it does enough to give players a feel for the upcoming full title in September.
In addition to being able to tweak the game’s mechanics, players will also be able to get a feel for the available weapons in some battle and action sequences.
Together with the Platinum Demo, Activision has begun promoting Final Fantasy XV in earnest with the imminent release of a feature-length video and streaming a series of short Anime videos.
