Blues and Bullets, the Episodic crime noir adventure from videogame developers A Crowd of Monsters is out on PlayStation 4 today. The Black and white episodic noir adventure game arrives on PS4 with an initial two episodes being released first.

The Blues and Bullets storyline follows a retired Elliot Ness, looking to kick his feet up after many successful years fighting crime as leader of the Untouchables. Unfortunately for him, rouble is a-brewing as players take the role of Ness quietly running a diner in the fictional American city of Santa Esperanza after putting Al Capone in jail.

The disappearance of children in the city pulls Ness back into action as he sets out to track down the perpetrator and put a stop to the abductions.

Blues and BulletsWith help from a group of loyal associates Eliot Ness abandons any dreams of a peaceful retirement and will stop at nothing to see justice served.The unexpected help he’ll sometimes from his associates on both sides of the law will come in handy as he faces a variety of thugs, assassins, and hoodlums.

Eliot will need to draw on all his willpower and experience as his hunt for clues unravels morbid discoveries, not to mention the shootouts against the bad guys that he has to survive.

Blues and Bullets is a homage to the noir film genre and is presented completely in Black and White, with the exception of a few splashes of red colour.

Developers A Crowd of Monsters actually went as far as to use the same techniques that the popular Film Directors of the classic 1940’s period such as illumination and colour.

With so much time and dedication put into the game, Blues and Bullets is set to be an intriguing foray into episodic crime noir for most PlayStation 4 gamers given the title’s difference with most available games on the system.
