Games developer Interabang Entertainment has announced its platform fighting game’ Super Comboman, is coming to the PlayStation 4 console. While the gaming industry is being taken over by 3D graphic intensive FPS and open-world games both on consoles and mobile devices, Super Comboman comes out as a breeze of fresh air. The game is a classic 2D side-scrolling action game, and it has finally made its way to the PS4.
The most amazing thing about the game is that the team that was involved in the development was spread across Oakland, San Diego, Chicago, and Montreal. They all came together just to bring this game to the ground and make it perfect for the players to enjoy.
And they have really managed to make a fighting masterpiece! Besides the game, this too is nothing short of a wonder.
Struggles A-Plenty . . .
Players will take on the role of Struggles, and the gameplay revolves around his struggles that he goes through while supporting his family. Struggles has a little brother too, and they lost their parents when they were quite young. Now, Struggles has to take his brother’s responsibility and hence he takes odd jobs. The corporation where he works is called DODOCO.
So, what’s Super Comboman in this game? Well, Struggles has many more struggles which he goes through each day and they all come with an interesting side.
Struggles has to work at the emotion-draining DODOCO, but he doesn’t have any real skills that make him fit for the job. He is highly influenced by Super Comboman, a great comic character about whom Struggles has studied thoroughly, and adds the skills of the comic character into his work.
The super combo actions of Struggles are incomplete without some uppercuts, wall climbs, jiggling, juggling and making your way through your coworkers and bosses. After all, that’s what a side scrolling game should be like.
There is a lot of smashing, hitting, attacking, power-ups, and what not to make it one of the best 2D side-scrolling action games on PS4. You can also collect stickers in the game which will ultimately help you unlock some new moves and special attacks.
Super Comboman is already available for PC, and will be made available to the PS4 owners this fall 2016. As the official game description says, ‘Struggles has a sweet mullet and a talking fanny pack’, it would really difficult to ignore this fun combo-packed 2D action game.
