Hardware - Rivals update 1.07

Great news for Hardware: Rivals fans, the games first update will be arriving shortly and has been detailed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Featuring vehicle combat, missiles, and explosions, the game, launched earlier this month, has just received update 1.07 which is packed with lots of extra content.

The update itself addresses a range of issues including feedback from the Rivals community, and several free game modes and add-ons. Details in the 1.07 update for  Hardware: Rivals include adjustments derived from the feedback provided by the games’ players themselves.Complete details on update 1.07 can be found on the games’ official forums.

An update would not be much use if it didn’t have new add-ons and improvements to the game. In this respect, once players install the new update, there should be a noticeable improvement in game mechanics and efficiency. Hardware: Rivals players should find that their weapons to be stronger, all vehicles drive faster, and there’s even help for those who are having difficulties with Combat Driving.

But that’s not all – as the 1.07 update also makes two brand new vehicles available for all players – the Scarab FAV pictured above, and the Barbarian tank seen below:

Another addition to the game is a free Sharefactory theme created by the developers themselves. As promised when the game launched earlier this year, the new additions and updates have been quick to arrive.

SCE has promised more updates to come which should be worth looking forward to, including the latest which also brings with it the following:

  • Ranked Mode: When you feel like it’s boring to play offline, you’ll now get a chance to take on players of your own status, and increase your rank. A cool addition to it is that as you climb up the ladder, you’ll receive better add-ons and skins.
  • Special events: Make sure you mark them on your calendars, as everyone who completes an event will receive brand new skins! You can find them all on the game’s official community forum.
  • Mojito Bay: a new map which represents a rainy naval yard that’s just perfect for every driver.
