PlayStation 4 gamers who would like to utilise the function can find it on the Quick Menu login screen from which you can  change your online status within seconds, similar to settings on MSN, Skype and other platforms – useful if you do not want to be bothered, to say the least!

Friend Online Notification: Another social-enhancing addition is the ability to get notifications when your friends come online. To enable this option, find ’Notify When Online’ in Friends profile -> Options menu. For easier switching, you can also ‘Select All’ or ‘Deselect All’ of your friends before setting this feature on or off.
