LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens PS4 Game

The developers behind the LEGO Star Wars video games has been forced to announce the franchises’ new instalment after details of the game were leaked online. TT Games scrambled to officially announce LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens as coming to PlayStation 4, PS3, and other consoles after reports started circulating on the internet.

TT Games has been making Lego video games since 2005, when the company was established as a result of a merger between games publisher Giant Interactive and developers Traveller’s Tales. The franchise is now in its 11th year and the Force Awakens now becomes the latest addition to the popular video game series.

It seems that the veteran games developer was preparing for the announcement anyway as the leaked details were pretty much spot-on. The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens game had also been hotly anticipated prior to any details surfacing. Also, the leak may not have been a leak at all, as the early details seem to have originated from a listing on the Xbox Store. There is an argument for the possibility of a trigger happy listing of the game being picked up by online news outlets and the story growing from there.

The listing is the source for the games’ trailer, as well as details on which platforms it would be available on. The good news is that TT Games moved swiftly to officially announce the game and release an accompanying LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens announcement trailer (as seen above).

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens GameThe Force Awakens is supposed to bridge the gap between the storylines in Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature exclusive downloadable content in the form of a Phantom Limb Level Pack and a Droid Character Pack. The game also features new stories and adventures that are based on the Star Wars movies narrative.
